In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Cook County Vikings volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Hill City Hornets.
The Vikings (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Cherry (Iron, MN). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Cherry was beaten by Pine River-Backus (Pine River, MN), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Hornets now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host McGregor for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 26.
