Etna Lions (Etna, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the host Herlong Vikings (Herlong, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lassen (Susanville, CA). The Grizzlies enter the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Lassen was beaten by Oroville (Oroville, CA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings meet the Arcata Tigers (Arcata, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Sunday, August 24. Herlong will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Tigers go into the test with a 1-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Lassen (Susanville, CA).
