Texas High School Volleyball - Vandegrift can't hold off Frisco

In Saturday's non-league bout, the Frisco Raccoons (Frisco, TX) volleyball team held off the host Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX), by a margin of 2-1.

The Raccoons now possess a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Tascosa for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 23. Frisco will clash with a Rebels team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Argyle (Argyle, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Vandegrift falls to 9-8 on the year. The Vipers host Coronado (El Paso, TX) to battle the Thunderbirds in a non-league match on Saturday, August 23. The Thunderbirds enter the match with a record of 2-4. Coronado lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Wakeland (Frisco, TX)
