The Herbert Hoover Huskies volleyball squad (Elkview, WV), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Oak Glen Golden Bears (New Cumberland, WV)

With the win, Oak Glen improves its record to 3-0 on the season. The Golden Bears host Brooke (Wellsburg, WV) to meet the Bruins in a non-league contest on Tuesday, August 26. The Bruins enter the contest with a record of 1-3. Brooke lost 3-1 in their recent non-league contest against Buckeye Local (Rayland, OH)

Next, the Huskies meet the Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, WV) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, August 26. Herbert Hoover will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Bison enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV).
