Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Huron Chiefs (New Boston, MI) and the host Pioneer Pioneers (Ann Arbor, MI), observed Huron's volleyball team hold off Pioneer by a count of 2-1.

The Chiefs (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary Catholic Central (Monroe, MI). The Falcons/Kestrels enter the Huron contest with a 0-0 record.

Next, the Pioneers battle the St. Catherine of Siena Academy Athletes (Wixom, MI) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, August 23. Pioneer will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Athletes go into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Salem (Canton, MI).
