In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Knott County Central Patriots volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the McCreary Central Raiders.
The Patriots (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Jenkins (Jenkins, KY). The Cavaliers enter the District 53 challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Jenkins was beaten by Belfry (Belfry, KY), 3-0, in a non-league test.
The Raiders now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jellico for a non-league test on Monday, August 25. McCreary Central will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Barbourville (Barbourville, KY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-3.
