Liberty Lions (Brentwood, CA) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Lathrop Spartans (Lathrop, CA), 2-1 in a non-league outing.

The Lions now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Freedom for a Bay Valley outing on Tuesday, September 9.

With the loss, Lathrop drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host Franklin (Stockton, CA) to face the Yellowjackets in a non-league game on Monday, August 25. The Yellowjackets go into the game with a record of 2-2. Franklin won 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Galt (Galt, CA)
