The Bruins (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Vidor (Vidor, TX). The Pirates enter the non-league challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Vidor was beaten by Sulphur (Sulphur, LA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Rusk Eagles (Rusk, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Malakoff will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Huntington (Huntington, TX).
