The North Central Texas Academy Pioneers volleyball squad (Granbury, TX), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX)

With the win, Melissa improves its record to 10-7 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Clifton (Clifton, TX) to encounter the Cubs in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 23. The Cubs go into the battle with a record of 14-3. Clifton won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Blum (Blum, TX)

Next, the Pioneers meet the Tolar Rattlers (Tolar, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 23. North Central Texas Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Rattlers enter the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Lorena (Lorena, TX).
