Oldenburg Academy Twisters (Oldenburg, IN) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds (Newport, KY), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Twisters (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Rising Sun (Rising Sun, IN). The Shiners come into the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Rising Sun beat Hauser (Hope, IN), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Thoroughbreds meet the Heritage Academy Eagles (Florence, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Newport Central Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Owen County (Owenton, KY).
