Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Viewpoint Patriots (Calabasas, CA) and the visiting Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA), observed Viewpoint's volleyball team top Rio Mesa by a count of 2-0.

The Patriots (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Santa Paula (Santa Paula, CA). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Santa Paula was defeated by Rio Mesa (Oxnard, CA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

The Spartans now own a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coastal Christian for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 23. Rio Mesa will meet a Conquerors team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Morro Bay (Morro Bay, CA). The Conquerors record now stands at 1-2.
