Texas High School Volleyball - Vernon edged by Sweetwater

The Vernon Lions volleyball squad (Vernon, TX), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX)

With the win, Sweetwater improves its record to 8-9 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Jacksboro (Jacksboro, TX) to meet the Tigers in a non-league contest on Saturday, August 23. The Tigers enter the contest with a record of 7-1. Jacksboro lost 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Shallowater (Shallowater, TX)

Next, the Lions meet the Christ Academy Warriors (Wichita Falls, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, August 26. Vernon will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Warriors go into the battle with a 2-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Seymour (Seymour, TX).
