Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Rabun County Wildcats (Tiger, GA), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Shiloh for a 6A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, August 30. Habersham Central will face a Generals squad coming off a 16-6 non-league win over Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, GA). The Generals record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Rabun County falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Hart County (Hartwell, GA) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 25. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. Hart County won 8-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Elbert County (Elberton, GA)
