In Wednesday's non-league outing, the visiting Jenkins County War Eagles softball team scored a nice 12-4 win over the New Hampstead Phoenix.
Coming up next, the War Eagles encounter the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 3 outing, on Tuesday, August 30. Jenkins County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Buccaneers enter the outing with a 1-6 record after their 10-7 non-league loss to Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, GA).
The Phoenix (1-4) will now prepare for their outing against Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Yellowjackets enter the 4A Region 3 outing with a 5-4 record. In their last outing, Southeast Bulloch prevailed over Richmond Hill (Richmond Hill, GA), 9-7, in a non-league outing.
