In Wednesday's non-league battle, the visiting East Jordan Red Devils volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Houghton Lake Bobcats.
The Red Devils (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Kalkaska (Kalkaska, MI). The Blazers come into the Lake Michigan contest with a 0-1 record.
With the loss, Houghton Lake drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Carrollton (Carrollton, MI) to battle the Cavaliers in a non-league contest on Saturday, August 27. The Cavaliers come into the contest with a record of 0-0.
