In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Zephyr Bulldogs football squad scored a good 42-18 victory over the Bronte Longhorns.

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Veribest Falcons (Veribest, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 1. Zephyr will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Falcons enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 50-0 non-league win over Santa Anna (Santa Anna, TX).

The Longhorns (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Rule (Rule, TX). The Bobcats enter the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Rule was toppled by Newcastle (Newcastle, TX), 72-18, in a non-league match.
