The Sandhills/Thedford Knights football squad scored 45 points and restricted the visiting Burwell Longhorns to 20 in the Knights non-league victory on Thursday.

The Knights now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hitchcock County for a non-league battle on Friday, September 1. Sandhills/Thedford will face a Falcons squad coming off a 54-12 non-league win over Bayard (Bayard, NE). The Falcons record now stands at 1-0.
