    The Cholla Chargers football squad scored 7 points and restricted the visiting Copper Canyon Aztecs to 0 in the Chargers non-league victory on Thursday.

    The Chargers now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maryvale for a non-league battle on Friday, September 1. Cholla will play a Panthers squad coming off a 49-24 non-league loss to Amphitheater (Tucson, AZ). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.

    Coming up next, the Aztecs play the Poston Butte Broncos (San Tan Valley, AZ) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 1. Copper Canyon will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Broncos enter the battle with a 0-1 record after their 34-28 non-league loss to Mica Mountain (Tucson, AZ).
