The Cortez Colts football squad scored 46 points and limited the visiting Coronado Dons to 6 in the Colts non-league win on Thursday.

The Colts now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Washington for a non-league battle on Friday, September 1. Cortez will play a Rams squad coming off a 24-18 non-league loss to Rincon/University (Tucson, AZ). The Rams record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the Dons play the Red Mesa Redskins (Teec Nos Pos, AZ) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 1. Coronado will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Redskins go into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 46-6 non-league loss to Highland Prep (Surprise, AZ).
