In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Northland Pines Eagles football team scored a decisive 43-0 triumph over the West Iron County Wykons.
With the triumph, Northland Pines improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Tomahawk (Tomahawk, WI) to confront the Hatchets in a Northwoods test on Monday, August 28. The Hatchets come into the test with a record of 1-1. Tomahawk won 7-0 in their recent non-league test against Lakeland (Minocqua, WI)
With the loss, West Iron County drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wykons travel to Gwinn (Gwinn, MI) to confront the Modeltowners in a Western Peninsula - Iron test on Thursday, August 31. The Modeltowners come into the test with a record of 0-1. Gwinn lost 26-15 in their recent non-league test against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, MI)
