The East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) football defeated the host West Craven Eagles (Vanceboro, NC), 48-22 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Panthers face the Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, August 31. East Duplin will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Wildcats enter the bout with a 1-1 record after their 43-6 non-league loss to Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC).
The Eagles (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against Havelock (Havelock, NC). The Rams enter the non-league bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Havelock lost by Laney (Wilmington, NC), 42-6, in a non-league bout.
