In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Pinecrest Patriots volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Ashley Screaming Eagle.
The Patriots (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Middle Creek (Apex, NC). The Mustangs come into the non-league battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Middle Creek achieved victory over Millbrook (Raleigh, NC), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Screaming Eagle encounter the South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, August 29. Ashley will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Cougars come into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to South Columbus (Tabor City, NC).
