The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) and the host East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC), saw West Stanly's volleyball squad nip East Rowan by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, West Stanly upgrades its record to 3-3 on the year. The Colts travel to North Stanly (New London, NC) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Monday, August 28. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 1-3. North Stanly lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC)

The Mustangs now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Central Cabarrus for a non-league bout on Monday, August 28. East Rowan will play a Vikings squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Concord (Concord, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 2-2.
