The New Smyrna Beach Barracudas volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Matanzas Pirates to 0 in the Barracudas league victory on Thursday.

The Barracudas now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Forest for a game on Tuesday, August 29.

The Pirates (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Spruce Creek (Port Orange, FL). The Hawks enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record.
