Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans confront the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, August 28. Sun Valley will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 9-0 non-league win over Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC).
The Pumas now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Harding University for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 29. Palisades will confront a Rams team coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Olympic (Charlotte, NC). The Rams record now stands at 0-2.
