In Thursday's non-league contest, the Apache Warriors (Apache, OK) softball team held off the host Alex Longhorns (Alex, OK), by a margin of 2-1.
With the triumph, Apache moves its record to 8-7 on the year. The Warriors travel to Fort Cobb-Broxton (Fort Cobb, OK) to play the Mustangs in a non-league contest on Monday, August 28. The Mustangs come into the contest with a record of 13-10. Fort Cobb-Broxton won 13-1 in their recent league contest against Ninnekah (Ninnekah, OK)
In their next game, the Longhorns play the Bray-Doyle Donkeys (Bray, OK) in a Class A contest, on Thursday, August 24. Alex will attempt to move on its 6-9 season record. The Donkeys come into the contest with a 4-11 record after their 10-0 league loss to Maysville (Maysville, OK).
