The Sequoyah Eagles got by the visiting Inola Longhorns softball squad by a count of 8-7 in Thursday's league battle.
The Eagles (4-8) will now prepare for their battle against Westville (Westville, OK). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league battle with a 9-7 record. In their last battle, Westville nudged Sallisaw (Sallisaw, OK), 8-4, in a non-league battle.
The Longhorns now sport a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Union for a non-league battle on Friday, August 25.
