In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Albemarle Patriots volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Brooke Point Black Hawks.
The Patriots (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Monticello (Charlottesville, VA). The Mustangs come into the Jefferson battle with a 1-2 record.
Next, the Black Hawks clash with the Stafford Indians (Falmouth, VA) in a Commonwealth battle, on Wednesday, August 30. Brooke Point will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Indians come into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Eastern View (Culpeper, VA).
