The Amite County Trojans prevailed the visiting Jefferson County Tigers volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Trojans now have a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mize for a Class 2 Region 7 test on Tuesday, August 29.

The Tigers (0-5) will now prepare for their test against Port Gibson (Port Gibson, MS). The Blue Waves enter the Class 3 Region 7 test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Port Gibson gained a win over Lanier (Jackson, MS), 3-0, in a non-league test.
