In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Des Moines Christian Lions volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Underwood Eagles.
The Lions (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Woodward-Granger (Woodward, IA). The Hawks come into the West Central battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Woodward-Granger achieved victory over Madrid (Madrid, IA), 3-1, in a league battle.
