The Yellowjackets now have a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Swain County for a Big Smoky Mountain 1A game on Tuesday, August 29. Hayesville will confront a Maroon Devils team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Maroon Devils record now stands at 6-0.

The Highlanders (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC). The Eagles enter the Little Smoky Mountain 1A game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Hiwassee Dam dropped by Cherokee (Cherokee, NC), 3-0, in a non-league game.
