The Maypearl Panthers topped the visiting Meridian Yellowjackets volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Panthers now have a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Itasca for a non-league test on Friday, August 25. Maypearl will confront a Wampus Cats team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Wortham (Wortham, TX). The Wampus Cats record now stands at 8-9.

The Yellowjackets (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Blooming Grove (Blooming Grove, TX). The Lions enter the non-league test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Blooming Grove gained a win over Itasca (Itasca, TX), 2-1, in a non-league test.
