The Oxford Chargers (Oxford, MS) volleyball overcame the visiting New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), 3-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.

With the win, Oxford upgrades its record to 7-4 on the year. The Chargers host Crockett County (Alamo, TN) to face the Cavaliers in a non-league outing on Saturday, August 26. The Cavaliers go into the outing with a record of 9-2. Crockett County won 3-2 in their recent league outing against Dyersburg (Dyersburg, TN)

The Trojans now own a 8-8 record. They play next when they host Whitehall-Yearling for a non-league outing on Thursday, August 24. New Hope will face a Rams squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Fairfield Union (Lancaster, OH). The Rams record now stands at 0-2.
