The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the St. Mary's Cardinals (O'Neill, NE) and the visiting Wausa Vikings (Wausa, NE), observed St. Mary's's volleyball team edge Wausa by a final score of 2-1.

The Cardinals (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Winside (Winside, NE). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, Winside nudged Randolph (Randolph, NE), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Vikings clash with the Neligh-Oakdale Warriors (Neligh, NE) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, August 29. Wausa will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Warriors come into the battle with a 0-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Medicine Valley (Curtis, NE).
