Iowa High School Volleyball - West Monona edged by St. Mary's

The St. Mary's Hawks held off the visiting West Monona Spartans volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Hawks now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Akron-Westfield for a War Eagle test on Monday, August 28. St. Mary's will confront a Westerners team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to West Lyon (Inwood, IA). The Westerners record now stands at 1-1.
The Spartans (0-2) will now prepare for their test against Baltic (Baltic, SD). The Bulldogs enter the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Baltic was nudged by Colman-Egan (Colman, SD), 3-2, in a non-league test.
