In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Tamaqua Blue Raiders football squad scored a good 38-7 victory over the Pen Argyl Green Knights.
The Blue Raiders (1-0) will now prepare for their match against North Schuylkill (Ashland, PA). The Spartans enter the Colonial-Schuylkill - A match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, North Schuylkill thwarted Mount Carmel (Mount Carmel, PA), 37-30, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Green Knights confront the Palmerton Blue Bombers (Palmerton, PA) in a Colonial-Schuylkill - B match, on Friday, August 30.
