Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their flag football team achieve victory over the visiting Western Christian Fighting Lancers (Upland, CA), 33-19 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Esperanza improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Aztecs host Corona del Mar (Newport Beach, CA) to play the Sea Kings in a non-league battle on Sunday, August 25. The Sea Kings go into the battle with a record of 3-1. Corona del Mar won 34-13 in their recent non-league battle against Warren (Downey, CA)

The Fighting Lancers now have a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Chino for a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 27. Western Christian will play a Cowboys team coming off a 24-6 non-league win over Ontario Christian (Ontario, CA). The Cowboys record now stands at 3-1.
