Homestead Spartans (Fort Wayne, IN) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Concord Minutemen (Elkhart, IN), 1-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Homestead advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian (Fort Wayne, IN) to clash with the Braves in a non-league test on Thursday, September 26. The Braves come into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Minutemen now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Penn for a non-league test on Thursday, August 29. Concord will clash with a Kingsmen team coming off a 4-0 league win over New Prairie (New Carlisle, IN). The Kingsmen record now stands at 1-0.
