In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Russellville Panthers soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Southwestern Warriors.
The Panthers (5-1) will now prepare for their outing against Hart County (Munfordville, KY). The Raiders go into the non-league outing with a 2-2 record. In their last outing, Hart County got by Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY), 9-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Warriors play the Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY) in a District 48 outing, on Tuesday, August 27. Southwestern will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Cardinals go into the outing with a 3-2 record after their 6-4 non-league loss to South Laurel (London, KY).
