In Saturday's non-league test, the Elgin Owls (Elgin, OK) softball squad the host Locust Grove Pirates (Locust Grove, OK), by a tally of 7-3.

Next, the Owls clash with the MacArthur Highlanders (Lawton, OK) in a 5A District 1 test, on Monday, August 26. Elgin will attempt to advance on its 6-4 season record. The Highlanders go into the test with a 3-5 record after their 10-0 league loss to Guthrie (Guthrie, OK).

The Pirates (10-2) will now prepare for their test against Newcastle (Newcastle, OK). The Racers go into the non-league test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Newcastle held off Arnett (Arnett, OK), 8-7, in a non-league test.
