The Luther Lions triumphed over the host Porter Pirates softball squad by a count of 11-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Lions meet the Blackwell Maroons (Blackwell, OK) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, August 26. Luther will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Maroons enter the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 13-4 non-league loss to Latta (Ada, OK).
The Pirates (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Wetumka (Wetumka, OK). The Chieftains enter the Class A challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Wetumka was routed by Maud (Maud, OK), 12-9, in a non-league challenge.
