Georgia High School Softball - Mary Persons Monroe Area

In Saturday's non-league test, the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) softball squad the visiting Mary Persons Bulldogs (Forsyth, GA), by a tally of 5-1.

Next, the Purple Hurricanes clash with the Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA) in a 3A Region 8 test, on Monday, August 26. Monroe Area will attempt to advance on its 6-6 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 2-9 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Jackson County (Jefferson, GA).

The Bulldogs (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Brookwood (Snellville, GA). The Broncos go into the non-league test with a 9-1 record. In their last test, Brookwood held off Duluth (Duluth, GA), 14-0, in a league test.
