In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Westminster Wildcats softball team scored a tight 5-3 victory over the Mount Vernon Mustangs.
The Wildcats (4-4) will now prepare for their match against Chamblee (Chamblee, GA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league match with a 6-0 record. In their last match, Chamblee tipped Tri-Cities (East Point, GA), 18-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Chamblee Bulldogs (Chamblee, GA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, August 24. Mount Vernon will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a 6-0 record after their 18-0 league win over Tri-Cities (East Point, GA).
