The Alvin Yellowjackets volleyball squad (Alvin, TX), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Lamar Texans (Houston, TX)

With the win, Lamar improves its record to 5-5 on the season. The Texans travel to Pasadena (Pasadena, TX) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league battle on Thursday, August 29. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 8-4. Pasadena won 3-1 in their recent non-league battle against Goose Creek Memorial (Baytown, TX)

The Yellowjackets now own a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shadow Creek for a 6A Region III District 22 battle on Tuesday, August 27. Alvin will encounter a Sharks squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Foster (Richmond, TX). The Sharks record now stands at 12-4.
