In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Portola Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Esperanza Aztecs.

The Bulldogs (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Capistrano Valley (Mission Viejo, CA). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Capistrano Valley beat El Modena (Orange, CA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Aztecs meet the Brea Olinda Wildcats (Brea, CA) in a North Hills challenge, on Tuesday, August 27. Esperanza will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Samueli Academy (Santa Ana, CA).
