The Mt. Pleasant Tigers prevailed the host Hooks Hornets volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league game.

Next up, the Tigers confront the Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX) in a 5A Region II District 15 game, on Tuesday, August 27. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to advance on its 3-10 season record. The Mavericks enter the game with a 11-7 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Franklin (Franklin, TX).

The Hornets (3-11) will now prepare for their game against Jefferson (Jefferson, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Jefferson was dropped by Marshall (Marshall, TX), 3-0, in a non-league game.
