Fans at Sunday's non-league battle between the McGuffey Highlanders (Claysville, PA) and the host Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers (Houston, PA), saw McGuffey's soccer squad prevail over Chartiers-Houston by a score of 4-0.

The Highlanders (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Steel Valley (Munhall, PA). The Ironmen enter the WPIAL AA 3 test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Steel Valley nipped Woodland Hills (Pittsburgh, PA), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Buccaneers now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brentwood for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 26. Chartiers-Houston will meet a Spartans team coming off a 5-1 non-league win over South Side (Hookstown, PA). The Spartans record now stands at 2-1.
