The Indians go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL).

With the loss, Elgin moves to 0-2 on the year. The Maroons host Aurora East (Aurora, IL) to battle the Tomcats in a Upstate Eight contest on Tuesday, August 31. The Tomcats go into the contest with a record of 0-2.
