In Thursday's non-league game, the Adams Central Patriots (Hastings, NE) football team knocked off the host Minden Whippets (Minden, NE), by a final score of 28-7.

The Patriots (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Holdrege (Holdrege, NE). The Dusters come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Holdrege toppled Sidney (Sidney, NE), 47-27, in a non-league game.

The Whippets now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Paul for a non-league game on Friday, September 2. Minden will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 42-6 non-league win over O'Neill (O'Neill, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-0.
