The Lewis County Minutemen soccer team scored 4 points and limited the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies to 3 in the Minutemen non-league victory on Thursday.

Next, the Minutemen face the Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, August 27. Lewis County will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Huskies enter the contest with a 1-0 record after their 1-1 league Sissonville (Charleston, WV).

The Grizzlies now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Scott for a non-league contest on Saturday, August 27. Nicholas County will face a Skyhawks team coming off a 5-1 league win over Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV). The Skyhawks record now stands at 1-0.
